Provo Canyon Bridals
Capturing the Magic: Here’s how we brought this session to life:
Golden Hour Glow: Timing was everything. The soft, diffused sunlight bathed Kait in a warm glow, creating a natural radiance that required minimal editing.
Incorporating the Landscape: To showcase Provo Canyon’s grandeur, we used wide-angle shots that captured Kait's silhouette against the sprawling mountains. We also used the tall grasses to add depth and texture.
Intimate Details: Some of my favorite images came from zooming in on the details of Kait's dress, the wind softly catching her veil, and her hands holding her bouquet with a gentle touch.
Movement and Playfulness: To keep the session dynamic, I encouraged Kait to twirl, walk barefoot through the grass, and laugh—moments that exuded her natural grace and spontaneity.
Lessons from the Session: Every bridal session is unique, but here are some takeaways from this experience in Provo Canyon:
Scout the Location: Provo Canyon has so many hidden gems. Arriving early allowed me to identify the best spots for lighting and composition.
Adapt to Nature: Wind, uneven terrain, and changing light can be unpredictable. Embracing these elements adds authenticity and beauty to the final images.
Celebrate the Bride’s Vision: Emily’s connection to nature was central to her session, and tailoring the shoot to reflect her personality made the experience deeply meaningful for both of us.
Kait's bridal session in Provo Canyon was more than a photoshoot—it was an unforgettable moment celebrating her journey to marriage. Sessions like these remind me why I love being a photographer—the opportunity to craft visual stories that couples will treasure forever.
